AgroBoost is DevHub Africa’s agricultural initiative that empowers smallholder farmers with culturally relevant skills, digital tools, training, market access, and mentorships. By combining technology, community, and innovation, AgroBoost helps farmers increase yields, reduce losses, and improve their livelihoods—while building a more resilient and sustainable food system for Africa.

​​AgroBoost is DevHub Africa’s flagship agricultural initiative designed to transform farming through technology, research, and community-driven innovation. This year, AgroBoost expanded its reach by training Research Assistants (RAs) from Ghana, Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Sudan, building a network of young leaders committed to advancing sustainable agriculture across the continent.

We’ve launched pilot farms in three key settings—urban, peri-urban, and rural contexts—to demonstrate scalable solutions for food security and climate-smart farming. These pilot projects serve as living laboratories, generating insights that drive research-based policies and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through our partnership with Avatar Buddy, we’re leveraging AI-powered tools to provide farmers with real-time weather data, market prices, agronomic advice, and digital mentorship networks.
